Trebles Run Around Coil Packages
Trebles Run-Around-Coil (RAC) Packages are prefabricated solutions designed for use in sealed cooling systems alongside air handling units. They consist of two or more multi-row finned tube coils connected by a pumped pipework circuit containing a heat exchange fluid, typically water.
The operation of the system involves the circulating fluid absorbing heat from the exhaust air coil and transferring it to the supply air coil. This process facilitates heat recovery from the exhaust air flow to the supply air flow, effective in both winter and summer conditions. The efficiency of heat recovery depends on the temperature variance between the two air streams.
